Job Title: Youth Services Consultant, At-Risk

Locations: All Arkansas locations:

  • Alexander, AR

  • Harrisburg, AR 

  • Mansfield, AR

  • Dermott, AR

  • Lewisville, AR

 

Position Summary

We are seeking compassionate, motivated, and dependable Youth Services Consultants to guide students ages 14-18, including those facing challenges at school, home, or in their communities. This is a very important role that combines mentoring, life-skills coaching, and career exploration to help students build confidence, resilience, and future-ready skills.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) for the five focus areas:

    • Job Exploration Counseling

    • Work-Based Learning Experiences

    • Postsecondary Education Counseling

    • Workplace Readiness Training

    • Self-Advocacy Instruction

  • Mentor and support youth facing personal, academic, or social challenges.

  • Lead engaging career exploration activities using tools such as career assessments, job tours, and guest speakers.

  • Facilitate group and one-on-one sessions on workplace readiness, communication, and self-advocacy.

  • Coordinate work-based learning opportunities in collaboration with local businesses and organizations.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of student participation, progress, and outcomes and submit weekly reports.

  • Coordinate with local businesses and organizations to provide work-based learning opportunities.

  • Promote a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students can succeed.

 

Qualifications

  • Strong communication, mentoring, facilitation, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to inspire and motivate youth in both group and one-on-one settings.

  • Organized, dependable, and comfortable with reporting/documentation.

  • Must pass a background check.

  • Experience working with youth, particularly those considered “at-risk” or with disabilities a plus but not required.

  • Ability to build trust and rapport with students and families.

  • Knowledge of career development, workforce readiness, or vocational training preferred but not required.

  • Takes the initiative for proactiveness and displays an eagerness to learn.
