Position Summary
We are seeking compassionate, motivated, and dependable Youth Services Consultants to guide students ages 14-18, including those facing challenges at school, home, or in their communities. This is a very important role that combines mentoring, life-skills coaching, and career exploration to help students build confidence, resilience, and future-ready skills.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) for the five focus areas:

Job Exploration Counseling

Work-Based Learning Experiences
-
Postsecondary Education Counseling
-
Workplace Readiness Training
-
Self-Advocacy Instruction
-
-
Mentor and support youth facing personal, academic, or social challenges.

Lead engaging career exploration activities using tools such as career assessments, job tours, and guest speakers.

Facilitate group and one-on-one sessions on workplace readiness, communication, and self-advocacy.

Coordinate work-based learning opportunities in collaboration with local businesses and organizations.

Maintain accurate documentation of student participation, progress, and outcomes and submit weekly reports.

Coordinate with local businesses and organizations to provide work-based learning opportunities.

Promote a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students can succeed.
Qualifications
-
Strong communication, mentoring, facilitation, and leadership skills.
-
Ability to inspire and motivate youth in both group and one-on-one settings.
-
Organized, dependable, and comfortable with reporting/documentation.
-
Must pass a background check.

Experience working with youth, particularly those considered “at-risk” or with disabilities a plus but not required.

Ability to build trust and rapport with students and families.

Knowledge of career development, workforce readiness, or vocational training preferred but not required.

Takes the initiative for proactiveness and displays an eagerness to learn.
